Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Liverpool against Chelsea.

Andoni Iraola’s side head into the fourth-round tie looking to extend their winning run and take another step towards silverware. Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Brighton provided a welcome Premier League boost, but tonight presents a different challenge, with rotation expected and several players facing late fitness tests.

Florian Wirtz is among those to watch after picking up an ankle problem against Brighton, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Víctor Muñoz are also doubts. Iraola has made clear that changes are necessary, but Liverpool’s priority remains reaching the quarter-finals.

There is a compelling subplot in the opposite dugout, too. Xabi Alonso returns to Anfield as Chelsea head coach, with the visitors seeking a response after losing 2-0 to Tottenham.

We’ll bring you the confirmed teams, key talking points, all the action and reaction from Anfield. Kick-off is at 8pm.
